2014-2015 was another great year for Hughes Electronics, our gains of 2013-2014 were consolidated, our Hong Kong enterprise was incorporated to become a company in its own right, development of our new WaveWay connector saw the finalisation of a super low PIM right angle addition to the series and the introduction of a wider range of cellular communications products helped to increase our footprint in the wireless communication market. Our market leading USB charging hub also gained market traction and I would like to thank and congratulate all my colleagues who worked so hard to make this all happen.
Many of our aims particularly our R&D objectives and Client Service goals were reached and we have continued to invest in our people and structural development.
2015-2016 promises to be another year of growth as our product development cycle yields market ready products and the sales cycle begins and our position in our strategic markets consolidates and grows. I look forward to working with all our valued clients, suppliers and staff in what I have every reason to believe will be another great year.

Grew our client base
Once again our technical superiority, competitiveness, commitment and honesty, enabled us to grow our family of clients through customer endorsement, and together with our reputation for exemplary customer service, technical and logistical ability helped to expand our client base at home and overseas.
Consolidated our existing client base
Our stellar client service and support in all areas shone through helping us increase our sales footprint with our previous year's new clients as they began to identify how we could add value to their respective business propositions.
Market Positioning
Our market positioning in the cellular telephone and desktop USB charging markets continued to pay dividends and last year's preparation for entry into the fledgling 'One Phone' market realised small gains as the first provider British Telecom entered the market. We have every confidence that the market will grow exponentially and will make a major contribution to the Hughes growth story for many years to come.
China office
Our Ningbo office put in another outstanding performance, continuing to provide the type of strong sourcing, logistical and quality control support that pays handsome dividends for our clients. The blend of UK based design, development and quality systems and the Sino low cost manufacturing base complement each other perfectly.
Hughes Hong Kong Ltd
Our Hong Kong endeavour became a Limited Co in its own right as it grew more independent, its remit and footprint expanded to take on contracts of its own, exclusive of Hughes electronics as the Hughes blend of quality, price and technology attracted large International clients and Sino-Sino trading.
Technology
Hughes continue as technology leader in the USB data switching and charging hub market for in desk, under desk, desktop and containment enclosures. Our development team pushed the charging envelope from 3.1 to 3.8 amps within the confines of a 42mm square PCBA and meeting all necessary performance and safety standards. These products made a valuable contribution to our sales progress last year and all indications point to further gains in the year ahead.
Research and Development
Our game changing super low PIM connector and jumper lead project for future network cellular telecom applications gained momentum with the design of a right angle version of the connector and beta testing began in partnership with Southbank University and Anritsu ltd.
New Patents
The WaveWay Connector series draft patent was lodged and new patents are under consideration in respect of PIM mitigation techniques discovered during the development phase of the project.
2015 - 2016
Hughes move forward into 2015-2016 with great confidence, as we consolidate and grow our strategic move into the cellular market with the expected introduction of the WaveWay connection system and as USB charging markets pay greater dividends. Attention to detail and the quality on which we pride ourselves will once again help us to achieve our goals.
Don't forget that you are welcome to visit us anytime throughout the year; I would be delighted to buy you a cup of coffee in Hughes' favourite coffee shop beside the Golden Hinde overlooking the Thames, St Pauls and the Gherkin. All of us at Hughes Electronics are continually on hand to talk over how we can make our respective businesses better and more productive or just for a friendly chat to re-enforce our relationship. Last year was busy and exciting but I do not intend to allow anyone at Hughes to rest on their laurels, here are some of our exciting initiatives for 2015-2016;
1. Brand New Web site
A new look web site will be launched and our long awaited online trading platform and catalogue will finally be extended from specific customer centric portals to an open platform after being delayed from last year. The new site will facilitate quicker product updates, enhanced visual representations and technical information to help our customers better understand our products and the benefits they offer.
2. Hughes Hong Kong Ltd.
Will grow its new independent footprint, bi-lateral trade will begin with Hughes Electronics UK and further International sales opportunities are already materialising
3. Research and Development
Development of the WaveWay connector and jumper cable series of connectivity products will continue into the production phase and feasibility studies will be undertaken in innovative methods of creating more efficient use of existing media and antennas at cellular base stations.
4. Increased sales
We remain confident that our technical superiority and company philosophy of walking the extra two miles will keep us on our growth trajectory next year. Our strategic placement in growth markets will facilitate organic growth in sales revenues within those markets and as we look forward to the production phase of our WaveWay products we have every hope that 2015-2016 will be a very good year for Hughes Electronics.
