Hughes Electronics’ PSTN-Pro has been granted European design registration number 001724030-0001 from the Office for harmonization in the internal market. The PSTN-Pro originally the brainchild of Glyn Hughes C.E.O of Hughes Electronics is designed to simplify the installation of office based analogue or digital PABX communication equipment in non-structured environments.

“The idea was born during a conversation with one of our clients, one of the biggest manufacturers of this type of equipment in the world “ said Glyn “it became clear that there was a gap in the market for a simplified connectivity system and consolidation point between the PABX and horizontal cables in unstructured environments. A device that could both simplify and reduce man hours and troubleshooting during installation and after service call outs due to poor connectivity.

The result is a simple ‘patching box’ that can be configured for any system that replicates the functionality of a patch panel in structured environments.

Adrian Frankland (Product Manager at Mitel)  said "we welcomed the innovation with open arms, it has helped the sales of our 3300 Controller by making installation simpler and we are now rolling out deployment all over North and South America as well as the European Union”
